At 40 years old, I carry the weight of a 13-year stint in federal prison on my shoulders, but instead of letting it define me, I’ve chosen to use my experiences as a catalyst for positive change. Certified as a Peer Recovery Specialist, I have dedicated my life to mentoring and helping individuals learn tools to become better memebers of society. My journey is driven by a deep sense of purpose – to be the person I desperately needed during my tumultuous teenage years. As a Christian, my faith guides every step of my path, providing the foundation for my commitment to community mentorship.
In the community, I strive to be a beacon of hope and an exemplar of change. Advocating for incarcerated individuals and those headed down the path of incarceration by teaching and showing them alternatives to violence drawing from my own experiences to shed light on the possibilities for reform and renewal. I strive to help otherschange.

Beyond my advocacy work, I am also a proud Indie author of five
books that reflect the resilience of the human spirit. Each literary
creation serves as a testament to the power of personal growth and transformation. In my early stages I started out selling drugs and committing crimes to make a living, now I write and sell books and teach real life lessons that help others changes. Talk about change! But what made me change?

Positive growth.
I grew up poor, depressed and was traumatized by a series of events. I was that kid who other family members had to take in and provide for when my parents could’nt. When that did’nt work I was the kid placed in different foster homes. I started committing crimes before I was a teenager and it followed me to adulthood. I was sent to the group homes, juvenile detention centers, city jail for adults and eventually prison with the big boys. Nowadays I’m educating and mentoring the next generation to prevent them from making the same mistakes.
Undoubtedly you have no questions to ask which are unanswerable. “Every man’s condition is a solution in hieroglyphic to those inquiries he would put.” We have learned that education is the key to a better life! With the various types of counselings, workforce development trainings, trade courses and workshops. We’re ensuring that all participants continue to have wrap around services.
